The QI2S project is funded within the SPACE area of FP7, SPA.2012.2.2-01: Key technologies enabling observations in and from space. QI2S will last 30 months and bring together 6 partners; a satellite company, industry (payload integration, software, on-board processing), research (software atoms, long-term perspective) and ARTTIC, as the collaborative management service provider. The consortium is led by Elbit Systems Electro-optics (ELOP), who will host the project Kick-Off Meeting on January 23-24, 2013 at its premises in Rehovot, Israel.

QI2S represents a major step beyond ESA’s roadmap for the development of future payload processors.
